how sad you never die

Juan Miguel Torres

sisyphus, sisyphus
how strange your nightmares are
how sad you never die
can’t you mumbe jumble
your way out of this life?
sad sisyphus, no mumble jumble in your mind?

why not think, dear old sisyphus?
somehow, there must be a way out.
tired? how bad is your whole life?
enormous nights with haunted sights?
sunny days in garlands of strife?
free prisoner sisyphus, how about a knife?

dear father, confess your atrocious crime
why can you not kneel down, poor sisyphus?
tell me, is confession your only fright?
pillars of memories quiet your shouts
father, roll up that crime again tonight
how sad, sisyphus, how you never end or die.
